Whether skiing or snowboarding in one of the largest interconnected ski areas, a winter hike in the romantic, snow-covered scenery, cross-country skiing on magnificently prepared trails (a trail runs right by our house), or a fun toboggan ride on one of the three natural toboggan runs followed by a stop for refreshments at a cozy hut - you can enjoy winter fun in all its variety here in Mayrhofen.
Mayrhofen ski area
The two ski areas in Mayrhofen, the Ahorn and the Penken, fulfill all the wishes of every skier. The Ahorn is known as the "Leisure Mountain", because it offers the perfect conditions for carvers. The view it provides is also especially gorgeous. The Penken is a paradise for freeriders, freestylers, and adrenaline seekers.
One exceptional highlight is the "White Lounge" on the Ahorn. You can stay overnight in an igloo or enjoy a drink at the igloo bar and relax in the chill-out area! There are also several events here.
Zillertal Arena
The Zillertal Arena extends from Tyrol to Salzburg, and you can enjoy this entire stretch of ski area with skiing or snowboarding. The largest ski area in the Zillertal guarantees pure winter fun and ski slope magic.
One special highlight is "Good-Morning-Skiing", which provides for great hours on empty, freshly prepared slopes in March starting at 6:55 am.
Hintertux glacier
The Hintertux glacier is considered the best glacier skiing area throughout the world - the best skiing experience guaranteed! Beginners as well as experienced skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the diverse winter world on the Hintertux glacier.
It offers the best slope conditions 365 days a year. The ski area extends from an elevation of 1,500m up to 3,250m.
Hochzillertal-Hochfügen
The Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area is the first ski area in the Zillertal. The iSki Tracker is the highlight of this particular ski area. With the iSki Tracker app, you have a unique tool for recording your skiing adventures - it is your own personal skiing diary.
